Duckies Experience
Our duckies are inflatable kayaks that put you in control of the river.
This is a more hands-on experience than rafting, perfect if you want a bit more freedom on the water — or more bounce on lower water days – while still having the reassurance that you’re never on your own. Our guides are right there with you every step of the way.
After your safety briefing, you’ll head out with one of our experienced guides, and paddle your own inflatable kayak through a mix of fun rapids and calmer water.
Expect a few wobbles and lots of fun.
No experience is needed — just a basic level of fitness, a sense of adventure, and an enjoyment of getting wet!

- All activities must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Full refund or credit if cancellation request has been received at least 28 days before the activity.
- No refunds will be offered which arise from circumstances that are beyond the control of LAKE DISTRICT TUBING LIMITED.
- Water, weather and river conditions are outside of our control. We check these conditions regularly, and where water/ weather/ river conditions are substantially better, or not suitable or safe at our usual locations we will check other locations within around a 1 hour travel time radius, therefore please allow a 1 hour travel extra travel time in your planning.
- Please note that we move the meeting point from the South Lakes to the North Lakes, so allow a big buffer in any plans afterwards! We will always try to update you at least 24 hours before your trip if there is any change to the location.
- We are a small business working in constantly changing conditions, we need our clients to be accommodating to changes, or we will not have a business. If you cannot adapt to our changes, please do not book our trips.
- Whist it is a rarity, it is also possible that an event would have to be postponed if no local river is safe or usable for duckies. If this happens we will issue a gift voucher which will be valid for one year.
- Please make sure that we have all ways to contact you in the event of river changes the day before your trip.
